Founded in 1869, The Hurlingham Club is a prestigious Grade II* listed private members’ club in the heart of London. Recognised as one of the world’s finest institutions of its kind, the Club is renowned for its croquet and tennis lawns, botanical gardens, and its stately Georgian clubhouse – widely regarded as the birthplace of polo. With a rich heritage and a multigenerational membership, the Club’s facilities continue to evolve, balancing modern expectations with a commitment to preserving its architectural legacy.

Revitalised to create a new destination

The project has revitalised the East Wing, introducing a new destination restaurant and finishing kitchen, alongside the refurbishment of key event spaces, including Palm Court – a signature venue often at the heart of social gatherings and Club events. This development reinforces the Club’s ongoing legacy of excellence.

Appointed by specialist subcontractor for refurbishment works

We were appointed by Knight Harwood as a specialist subcontractor to deliver the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke rooflights as part of refurbishment works at The Hurlingham Club.

Manufactured and designed robust and high-performance glazing solutions.

The rooflights were manufactured using the Raico THERM+ S-I system and are designed to meet CWCT Class 2 non-fragility standards, offering robust and high-performance glazing solutions.

Design that aligned to historic character

We worked closely with Jestico + Whiles architects to develop a design that aligns with the historic character of the Club while improving the functionality and comfort of its internal spaces.
